STRUCTURES

 WHAT IS AN STRUCTURE?

An structure can be anything that supports, holds or connects something. I usually say that is the basis or the key of something, if you look around you nearly every thing has or it's an structure, for example if you are in your house and you go to your kitchen you can see the microwave, it's an structure, then if you watch the TV, you can see there airplanes, they are structures, buildings...

The structures can be used for:

To hold things: there are a lot of structures that hold things they have to be elaborated to hold so many weight.

To construct: every building, bridge and other constructions need to have an structure to support the weight of the construction.

As a house: all the animals and humans construct or have an structure that they use as a house.

-MAN-MADE STRUCTURES:

Types:

a) Massive or Lintelled: needs a large amount of material

b) Vaulted:  contains arches and vaults,

c)  Lattice: contains a foundation, a floor, beams and pillars.

d) Triangulated: it contains triangles.

e) Suspended: uses cables to support it.

f) Pneumatic: contains air inside.

g) Rolled and Plate: formed by sheets of metal.

e) Geodesic: contains three dimensional figures.

That's one of my favourite structures, I think is a geodesic structure. It's amazing and the landscape around too. It is located in Asia.

METALS

METALS A material that can be in a solid or a liquid state and usually has a lot of electrical conductivity, one of the material properties. A good example of a metal it's gold. They are classified in two types ferrous and non-ferrous . Types of Metals 1.FERROUS METALS: they contain iron . Ferrous metals can be picked up by a magnet, they are not resistant to rusting. Some examples of ferrous metals are: a) Cast Iron : used to make frying pans. The principal properties of cast iron are:  - Resistance to corrosion - Hardness - Strength b)Carbon Steel: used in tools.  The proerties of carbon steel change depending on the number of carbon that contains. The general properties that nearly all share is: - Strength and ductility (as higher is the number of carbon content the strength grows and ductility is lower.)  -Strong metal - Resists to compression c)Mild Steel: used in...

A CENTURY BETWEEN US MOVIE

A CENTURY BETWEEN US  MY OPINION ABOUT IT: Members:  Maria Antònia  Julie Hummert  Xander Stock Aaron  I loved the experience, I think everybody should make a movie at least one time in their life. It's a little bit stressing and sometimes I thought I we couldn't finish it. We had fun during the shooting and we learned a lot of things about the others. First, we couldn't decide a date  for the shootinf and becouse of these we were all stressed but finally we laughed a lot and enjoyed the shooting. I think the next year, the students should have more sessions in class to prepare it, during the technology and english classes, like classes of  editing, classes of interpretation... I'm proud of my film, because of the hard work we have done but I think it could be better. I would change some shootings and make it more complete and cool. The animation is a good one but not the best and we all tried to do it the best we can. https://docs...
